Hello beautiful Creatives! I hope you have been enjoying a refreshing summer!
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind since arriving back home from my trip to TN. After a small health crisis, I decided now is the time for extreme self care. I met with a Naturopath to address the recurring headaches I’ve been having, scheduled regular bodywork sessions, and decided to listen to my body and slow down my pace.
My morning meditation and journal time has offered a remarkable opportunity to start the day more mindfully, rather than just jumping into the day-to-day, as I am often impulsed to do. I am noticing that even the small dull headaches are a sharp reminder that I’ve jumped out of my body, and into the swirl of my mind and the pressure of “all the stuff that needs doing”. I’m finding balance, asking my Divine helpers for guidance, and listening more and more each day. The listening is Key!
August is a month of Family. My younger daughter, Ruby, turned 16 on the 10th, and my older daughter, Emelin, flew out to be here for the celebration. We have all had such a wonderful time together, reading, eating at favorite restaurants, but mostly talking and connecting.
Here’s a photo of my two feisty and beautiful daughters. The top photo shows Emelin at 16 holding Ruby on the day she was born. The bottom photo shows Ruby at 16 clowning with Emelin in the movie theatre before the showing of Wonder Woman. These two are definitely their own type of Wonder Women, and I am so proud and blessed to be their Mama!
